History of RLOS

The Radlett Light Opera Society (RLOS) was formed in 1972 by an enthusiastic group of people from Radlett and the surrounding area. The first production, in November, was “The Gondoliers” by Gilbert & Sullivan. It was performed in The Radlett Hall, and was very well received by an enthusiastic audience. From that beginning, RLOS grew from strength to strength putting on two shows a year. Viennese operettas, American and British Musicals and most of the G & S operettas have been performed. With the move in 1996 to the new Radlett Centre, a purpose built multi-use theatre, RLOS were able to use their talents and expand their repertoire, much to the enjoyment of our audiences.
